    Valuation Process, Modeling & Supporting Values

    In this session, we will dive deep into Admin utilities, from creating and establishing user groups and permission sets, to screen and grid configurations to accessing tables and switches and settings.

    Sales Analysis

    This session will focus on the various options when working with the Sales Analysis Database and setting up a Comparable Sales Database. We will illustrate how to use this analysis to calibrate the appraisal models, to support assessments, and to ensure compliance with the IAAO.

      GIS

      Vision’s integrated GIS / CAMA application is designed for the typical assessor for use throughout the various phases of a reassessment program. Using GIS for Neighborhood Delineation, Quality Control, Sales Verification, Mass Data Updates etc. have helped increase efficiencies for both our Appraisal Team as well as our Client base. This session will be complete with specific real-world examples and exercises for every phase.

      Report Writing

      Extracting data from the CAMA system is a key task in the operation of an Assessing Office. Whether creating an export file or a printed report, quick access to the CAMA data by the office staff and the entire jurisdiction is of paramount importance. This session will help you become more familiar with all aspects of the Vision tools available for creating and saving reports.

      In this session our presenter will give an overview of the Property Record Card and how to use the card editor to customize the PRC for your specific community. The training will show you how to edit and adjust all fields.

      End-of-Year Reporting

      In this session, we will cover all of the end-of-year Functions. At the end of each Fiscal Year you will need to run a save assessment and extract your data for billing and prepare your parcels for the next fiscal year.

      This session will include the steps for saving your finalized values and where to find various year-end value reports to assist you in filling out your state total lists. We will also focus on the process of checking value discrepancies before running your billing extract.

      Open Session Appointments

      During our regular in-person National User Groups we always like to carve out some time for clients to sit down with the Vision Team during Open Session hours. With this year’s teleconference being an online format we’ve replaced our regular Open Session hours with 30 minute appointment slots. Select a time that works for you!

      Teleconference FAQ

      How do I join the two-day Teleconference?
      After registering for our two daily webinar sessions (Wed, May 17th and Thur, May 28th) you’ll receive confirmation emails with a unique link, phone number and meeting ID to join each day.

      Do I have to call in, or can I use my my computer to listen in?
      In order to ensure that we’re able to offer the best audio quality possible our Teleconference will be phone audio only. Computer audio relies on wifi which can be spotty for some panelists or attendees.

      Is there any cost to attend?
      Nope! Our annual National User Group is dedicated to providing additional training opportunities to our valued Vision clients and is already included in your annual maintenance and support package.

      How many team members can register?
      All of your team members and office personnel who you think would find our sessions useful are welcome to attend!

      Can I register for specific sessions?
      To simplify the registration process you only need to register once for each day. Each day will have a unique meeting link and dial-in that will be emailed to you upon registration. Also, reminders will be emailed to you one week, one day, and one hour before each day’s sessions begin.

      What if I can’t attend both full days?
      No problem! You are free to sign on or off our Teleconference whenever you’d like. Don’t worry, you won’t be locked out if you’re late or want to take a break and sign back in later!

      Will you still be offering Open Sessions with the Vision Support and Appraisal Team?
      Yes! When visiting our Teleconference Agenda page you can request a Calendly appointment with the Vision Support or Appraisal Team between the hours of 3:30pm-5:30pm on Thursday, May 28th.

      Will I be on video, and will other people be able to hear me?
      Due to a large number of participants, you will not have your video activated, and will be muted during the Teleconference so everyone can hear our panelists and presenters. You may have the option to type questions into our chat module during the Teleconference depending on the session.

      Do I need to download anything beforehand?
      When you’re ready to join each day’s sessions you will be prompted to download Zoom. You will be logged in as a participant and will need to dial in on the phone number provided in your confirmation email and input our meeting ID followed by the # sign. If you are unable to download zoom there will also be a link to start the session directly through your internet browser. If you do choose to use your browser we recommend using the latest version of Google Chrome or Firefox for the most reliable performance.
